(TOS)
is a world wide organization dedicated to rendering service
to Humanity. It was founded in 1908 by Dr.
Annie Besant and can be considered to be the Service
Wing of the Theosophical
Society. The TOS is Theosophy in action. It
translates into service the first object of the Theosophical
Society. To form a nucleus of the Universal Brotherhood
of Humanity, without distinction of race, creed, sex,
caste and colour. It works to improve the material and
spiritual condition of humanity and has a compassionate
and constructive approach in dealing with animals and
the environment.
